mantra

'Great art is not the product of the mind, but of the hand and the heart'

Part time oil painter Kerri, self confessed cat lady, book lover and yoga nerd uses this quote as her mantra when struggling artistically, giving her the belief to trust and follow her intuition.

the global war machine - G8 2013

We are back in our home city with the first of our collage street works depicting the almighty global war machine...

We installed this monster in Shoreditch, London last night to coincide with the G8 summit whereby the eight most economically powerful nations in the world hold an illegitimate private members meeting to discuss how to manage our economic, ecological, and political crises in the interests of those they represent: the global capitalists – the 1% of the world’s richest and most powerful economic and political elites and warmongers.

The G8 represent governments who are attacking the living standards of ordinary people, who are allowing the future of the environment and humanity to be bought and sold for profit, a system bound with war and suffering which breeds poverty, destruction and division.

We must stop these criminals and their increasing repression and militarism to transform today’s global system into a world of cooperation, equality, justice, democracy, and peace

united vibrations

London based Michal, a former scratch DJ wanted to pay homage to someone very special - a psychologist who had shaped his view of the world. The piece depicts the psychology of world peace, as well as the belief that music has the incredible and universal power to break down boundaries between us, to transcend and unite us as a human race....As Beethoven once said "music can change the world."

Beneath a Steel Sky

Priyesh sent us a short story he had written of which we had the absolute pleasure to read and illustrate.

It tells the tale of a troubled soul whom, overwhelmed by his insignificance struggles to find any meaning in life. He embarks on a one-man mission to build a suicidal spaceship,  yet this paradoxical new found purpose rekindles the spark of life within him.

"I stare at this world wanting to create something beautiful; an
expression of idea, a form for frustration, emotion, conclusion; the
unknown, the inexpressible – a piece of art, a grand gesture – all
violins and strings and triumph!
I will build a spaceship: use what’s left of my brief candlelight to
explore that vast shadow. And when it flickers out, I will be cremated
out there, my graveyard among long-dead stars shining back their
epitaphs. I will face my only certainty – my fragile mortality, the
thought of my inevitable death – with a big Fuck You: a beautiful
suicide."
