¿tempus fugit?

Last weekend was again that time where all things extraordinarily eccentric come together in a celebration of creative freedom, happiness and unity. A revolution of life, SGP liberates us from normality, conformity and our so called 'reality' and propels us into a mindblowing world of mesmerising beauty where each magical moment lasts forever.

Above are some pix of our finished installation. We are thrilled to have had an amazing response and that gardeners were able to rid themselves of the shackles of time and rejoice in our timeless world of wonderment.

There is nowhere on earth like Secret Garden Party and we are proud to be a part of something so unique and unforgettable.

Until next year. x

secret setup

Here are some pix of us setting up in the secret garden... viewing your art against nature's beautiful backdrop is such a wonderfully inspiring experience, it definitely beats a white wall.

We chose the perfect lakeside spot and positioned the main cage above the water so that it would be illuminated by the enchanting lights surrounding the lake...

A big thank you to the crew of dreams - Lex and Lol for your help on site and to the family of swans residing next to us who provided constant entertainment in the form of attacking passers by resulting in them almost falling in the moat.

infinite eternal existence

Following on from last years sgp installation and our continued fascination with the illusion of time, our latest piece urges gardeners to free themselves from the constraints of the clock and rid themselves of the shackles of time once more.

In Herman Hesse's Siddharta, the soon to become Buddha realises that once the measurement of time is waived, the past and future are ever present - like the river, which at one and the same moment exists not only where he sees it to be, but also at its source and at its mouth.

The perception of time passing from present moment to present moment is an artefact of our psychology, the secret lies in breaking away from the dimension of time as we normally conceive it made up of hours, numbers, seconds..and discover the warped tick tocking of timelessness.

We are making huge steel birdcages from scratch which we will fill with vintage clocks and antique clock mechanisms, giant cogs and roman numerals. The birdcages will hang beautifully from a great tree by chains and will also be wrapped in chains to show that time does not exist or belong here and that we are prisoners no longer, free to explore timeless, limitless frontiers.
